I Don't Mind Showing My Body Parts But Not Nude –Actress Ella

Ella Mensah isn’t exactly a household name in Nigeria, but one to reckon with in Ghana, where she plies her trade. She was recently in Nigeria to shoot a film where she met a Vanguard reporter for a chat. Excerpts:

Tell us about yourself?

I’m Ella Mensah, a Ghanaian actress based in South Africa and Ghana. I’m doing some movie shooting right now in Nigeria. I came here for the first time on October 1st last year, and since then, I have about 30 movies. I’ve been here for a year, but I come and go. So far, I’m loving it.

What has your acting experience been like?

So far, so good. A lot of challenges here and there. When I came back , I had a baby. As a mum, I was a bit fat and it was difficult to get some roles. I had to work on myself, I stopped breastfeeding and all those motherhood things.
It took me a year to come back after that three-year break. Now I love every minute of it. It’s like I’m living my dream. This is all I wanted and it’s perfect for me.

Was your mum a single mother?

Yes, I met my dad for the first time when I was nineteen years old. That’s why we don’t have that kind of very close relationship. It was also why I tried to live his dream, be a journalist for him because I wanted him to love me. But I realised that it wasn’t worth it, my mum’s love was okay for me. So what I really plan to do with my team is to open an NGO for single
mothers.

Are you married?

I’m not married and I’m not single. I’m in a relationship. Though I’m no longer with my son’s dad. My son and his dad are in South Africa now.

What physical attribute would you say is your selling point?

(Laughs) I heard that word “selling point” for the first time in Nigeria. Most of my friends say it’s my lips and I think it’s true. Then my height, my face and my ass. People are attracted to different things. Personally, I think it’s my face ,height and lips.

Would you act nude for any reason?

No, I don’t see why I should. Fine, I don’t mind showing certain parts of my body, especially when playing a seductive role. I can wear a bum short or maybe a net top. But I’ll never go nude, not even for ten million dollars!

Woman pretends to be teen so she could sleep with 14-year-old boy

A Florida woman posed as a teen to seduce a 14-year-old boy into a seedy sexual relationship before choking him when he tried to leave her home, police said. Naomi Dixon, 31, allegedly pretended she was just 17 after meeting the boy at a party near her home in Deltona.

The pair reportedly slept together on the night they met and then a subsequent eight more times. Her victim allegedly told cops that he would spend most of his time hanging out at Dixon's home. He tried to leave several times, he claimed, but she would get upset. Once she tried to choke him, while another time she made cuts to her arms and tried to carve his initials into her flesh.

The boy told his parents about Dixon after getting tired of her trying to keep him at her home. Dixon was questioned by police on Thursday and, saying she thought he was 18, initially denied having sex. But she later confessed and was arrested, reports the Daytona Beach News-Journal.

NFF Reports Ethiopia To FIFA

The Nigeria Football Federation has
reported the violent acts put up by
Ethiopian fans to world football governing body, FiFA after their team's 2-1 loss to Nigeria on Sunday.

NFF Vice President, Chief Mike Umeh, said the matter has been reported to the FIFA Security team at the match venue and he hopes action will be taken. The Ethiopian
Police were also intimated with the ordeal of the Nigerian delegation by Eagles CSO, ACP Baba Abubakar, even as the NFF has promised that it will give the Ethiopians the best of hospitality when they come to
Nigeria in November for the return leg.

The Super Eagles and the Nigerian
delegation led by NFF President, Alhaji Aminu Maigari returned to the country early Monday morning at about 4:30am with tales of ill-treatment from Ethiopian fans in the 2-1 win over the Walyan Antelopes on Sunday.

It would be recalled that on arrival, the Eagles were given a bus infested with coackroaches but the team took it in its stride. When it was time for training, the police team attached to the team deliberately took routes that are traffic-jammed, yet the team refused to be intimidated.

Matters came to a head on match day, when all manner of soft drink bottles were hauled at Nigerian players and supporters, when the Ethiopians thought that they had
scored an opener in the first half.
Television replays later showed that Godfrey Oboabona cleared the ball off the line

It did not end there, when the Nigerian team was returning to its Saro Maria hotel abode after the game, some fans laid ambush and started hauling stones at the team’s bus. One of the heavy stones shattered the rear windscreen of the bus, sending all inside the bus scampering for
safety. With all taking cover. Real Betis star, Nosa Igiebor was the unlucky one as the stone slashed his right palm leading to profuse bleeding that was immediately
attended to by team doctor, Ibrahim Gyaran.

Pilots Were Arguing Before Agagu's Plane Crashed - Blackbox

According to the black box for the Associated Airlines aircraft that crashed on the 3rd October in Lagos Nigeria and killed 15 people,
there appeared to have being an argument between the Captain and the First Officer of the Associated Airline aircraft.

PMNews reports that the readout of the black box , also known as Cockpit Voice Recorder, CVR, conducted by Nigeria’s Accident
Investigation Bureau, AIB, in its Abuja’s laboratory revealed that the computer onboard the plane sent a warning message to the
Captain, Yakubu Abdulrahman, shortly before take-off but he ignored it.

Approximately four seconds after engine power was advanced to commence the take-off roll,
the crew received an automated warning from the onboard computer voice which consisted
of three chimes followed by “take-off flaps… take-off flaps.
This is a configuration warning that suggests that the flaps were not in correct position for take-off.

The First Officer then suggested to the pilot to abort take-off but Yakubu Abdulrahman proceeded and took off.

“The First Officer asked if the take-off should be aborted approximately 12 seconds after the
‘eight knots’ callout,” said Captain Mukhtar Usman, Commissioner Accident Investigation Bureau, AIB.

The crew discussed some concerns about the aircraft prior to departure but at this time we are not prepared to elaborate on those
concerns as there remains a lot of work to do to complete on the CVR analysis in order to determine the specific nature of the crew’s
concerns,” said AIB Commissioner, Muktar Usman.

“64 Million Nigerians Suffer From Mental Illness” – Expert Says

The Founder of the Mental Health Foundation, Emmanuel Owoyemi, revealed on Thursday that 64 million Nigerians had one form of mental illness or the other. The expert advocated for quick passage of the Mental Health bill by the National Assembly.

Mr. Owoyemi, who disclosed this to the News Agency of Nigeria in Lagos, on the sideline of a forum to mark the 2013 World Mental Health Day, put a blame on the absence of a mental health policy in the country.

Among factors causing mental illnesses and being on the increase he mentioned poverty, hopelesneess, insecurity, panic at heart, anxiety, high level of depression. According to his words, another reason is
absence of mental health policy in the country at the moment as the National Assembly has been delaying passing the Mental Health Bill.

“We have about 150 psychiatrists; we have 34 neuro-surgeons in the whole country, meaning that, one point something million Nigerians is to one psychiatrist.

“How many people can one psychiatrist attend to within the 1.2 million or 1.3 million?", he asked.

Landlord’s daughter abducted, impregnated by tenant

The Lagos State Police Command has apprehended a 37-year-old man, Ajibola Idowu, for allegedly kidnapping the daughter
of his landlord for three years. The suspect was also said to have forcefully impregnated the victim, Modupe Brown, during captivity.

The police told PUNCH Metro that after Brown had given birth to the child, Ajibola refused to allow the child access to immunisation.

As a result, the child was said to have contracted polio disease and subsequently became crippled.

Lagos Deputy Police Public Relations Officer,
Damasus Ozoani, told PUNCH Metro that Ajibola, was arrested along with his mother, Ebun, who allegedly conspired with him to commit the act.

He said, “Brown, a 400 level student of Business Administration at the Lagos State University, was kidnapped by Ajibola who kept her in captivity with his family for “three years between 2010 and 2013.

“On September 19, 2013, policemen from Area E Command, went to the Sagamu area of Ogun State to rescue the victim and also arrested the mother of the abductor, who watched over the victim. Ajibola was later arrested in the Idumota area of Lagos Island.

“During the three years, Ajibola kept Brown in
three locations -Oshogbo, Osun State, where
she spent six months; Bariga, Lagos, where she
spent six months; and Sagamu, Ogun State, where she spent about two years.

“Ajibola forcefully impregnated Brown while in
captivity. She delivered a baby girl, who later
became deformed as a result of Ajibola’s
refusal to have the baby immunised against the
Polio virus.”

While speaking with our correspondent, Brown
described her ordeal in the hands of her
abductor as a journey through the valley of the
shadow of death. She said she was abducted at
her father’s house in the Ebute Meta area of
Lagos State.

She said, “I can’t even remember how he kidnapped me. All I know is that he held me captive for three years. It’s as if I was under a spell. Even when I was going to give birth, he did not allow me to go to a hospital. The baby was delivered at home and he was the one giving me medication.

“Even one day, when state officials came to the
area to immunise children, he said he would
not allow the child to be immunised, saying
the drugs had been poisoned. Once, when I
tried to leave, he threatened to kill me.”

The suspects however denied abducting the landlord’s daughter. Ajibola’s mother claimed her son and Brown were lovers, who decided to elope, maintaining that the case was not an abduction.
“I did not kidnap her; we were lovers and decided to elope. Even when she was at my house, she used to make calls to her relatives
telling them that she was alright,” he said.

Son’s death: I surrender to God, says Falae

As condolences continued to pour in over the death of Ondo State Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Deji Falae, his father, Chief Olu
Falae, has declared that he has surrendered to the will of the Almighty God.

Falae said this on Tuesday while receiving leaders of Afenifere in his residence in Akure, the Ondo State capital.

Deji was among those who died in last Thursday’s crash of a plane bearing the corpse of former Ondo State Governor, Olusegun Agagu.

He said the family took solace in the fact that Deji lived a purposeful life and distinguished himself in all his endeavours.

He said, “The Holy Spirit has ministered to us and we have been comforted by different testimonies that followed the incident.”

He said that the late Deji had taken his appointment as a commissioner as a service to humanity, noting that what he (Deji) was earning in his former place of work was more than what he earned as a commissioner.

“We are happy that all the family values we instilled in him, he exhibited. The money he was making, during his practice is more than
what was paid to him as a commissioner.

“He was humble, honest, transparent and exhibited integrity. He did not build a house of his own but he helped most of his supporters to build their own houses,” he said

While commiserating with the bereaved, the leader of the group, Chief Lanihun Ajayi, urged Falae to take solace in the fact that “God giveth and taketh.”

Olanihun, who said the group had come to condole with the family and the people of the state, described the news of Deji’s death as
shocking.”

He however urged the family to take solace in God over the untimely death of their son, noting that no one could query God as “He knows the best.”

Also, the Ijaw Arogbo community in the Ese-Odo Local Government Area of the state and some traditional rulers from Okitipupa Local
Government Area also paid a condolence visit to Falae.

Attack On President Jonathan's Re- Election Campaigners: Security Agents Ban Rally In Kaduna State

Despite a fervent claim by Nigerian
officials that there was no outbreak of violence at last weekend’s political rally in Kaduna, capital of Kaduna State, to support President Goodluck Jonathan's reelection ambition in 2015, police authorities in the state today announced a ban on the holding of any public political rally.

“This action by the police shows that their earlier denial of violence was false,” said a security source. He added: “We all witnessed it, and saw several youths who suffered knife injuries. Some of them are still
undergoing treatment in hospitals in Kaduna.”

A source at the Kaduna Government House confirmed the action of State Security Council after appraising the dicey security situation in the state.

“I can confirm that Kaduna Security
Council has approved a ban of all
[political] rallies in the state,” the
source said. The council has the
General Officer Commanding the 1st Division of the Nigerian Army, the heads of the State Security Service, police, Air Force and all the
paramilitary agencies as members, the source disclosed.

A police source in Kaduna also
revealed that the Kaduna State Police Commissioner, Olufemi Adenaike, was in the process of addressing reporters to confirm the action.

D'Banj, P'square, 2Face, Banky W In New Africa's Richest List

The new list is totally different from what Forbes gave to us few weeks back as it seems to capture only the big boys in the game, leaving out the small boys who are just seeing real money for the first time. Below are the names of Huffington Post's top African musicians:

1-Youssou N’dour

Youssou N’dour brings it home in the No. 1 spot. This Senegalese singer is widely considered the most famous singer alive in Senegal and much of Africa. His style of music is known as mbalax, a mix of Senegalese traditional music in the Serer language and various styles from around the world including Cuban rumba, hip hop, jazz, and
soul.

With millions around the world in his fan base, he is now the owner of the biggest media house in Senegal (complete with radio and TV
stations) and was appointed tourism and culture minister in 2012.
More importantly, before K’naan had “Waving Flag” in 2010, N’dour was responsible for the 1998 FIFA World Cupnational anthem, “La Cour des Grands,” along with Axelle Red.

2-Psquare

P-Square is made up of identical twins, Peter and Paul Okoye, who began singing and dancing together back in their small Catholic high school in Jos, Nigeria.

After forming the group in 2005, their music developed a devoted following, particularly in South Africa, and each album outsold the previous one. They were named Artists of the Year at the 2010 Kora Awards and now bring in more than $150,000 per show. Best of all,
their shared home is worth more than $3 million and has been dubbed
“Squareville.” Talk about product placement!

3-DBANJ

D’banj, aka the Koko Master, aka Dapo Daniel Oyebanjo, has been
killing it in his native Nigeria and around the world since 2007, and
was the first African artist who signed with the music label GOOD,
owned by Kanye West. The recipient of countless awards, D’banj is
known for his unique sound of dance music and Afro beats. He is involved in a variety of investments including a nightclub in Nigeria, brands such as Koko water, and was given his own reality show, “Koko Mansion.”

4. Koffi Olomidé

Along with fellow Congolese star Fally Ipupa, Koffi Olomidé formed Quartier Latin as lead singer and vocalist before launching his solo
career. Dubbing his style of music as tcha tcho, he considers it a blend of soukous music (dance music that originated from African rumba music). He’s notorious for taking on controversial subjects in his lyrics, which has led him to be widely praised and criticized worldwide.

Raking in over 100,000 euros per show,Olomidé is extremely popular across Africa and the world. One of his albums is listed in Robert Dimery’s book, “1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die.”

5. Salif Keita

Born and raised in Mali, singer and songwriter Salif Keita has been referred to as the “Golden Voice of Africa,” with his original take on Afro-pop music. Despite his royal heritage (he’s directly descended from Sundiata Keita, the founder of the Mali Empire), he chose a path
of music, bucking the Malian caste system. But this means that he was loaded even before his music career took off, explaining his private island and properties across Europe

6. Fally Ipupa

Fally Ipupa, a former member of Quartier Latin International (along with Koffi Olomidé, to be mentioned later), went solo in 2006 and has been incredibly successful, both in his home country of the Democratic Republic of the Congo as well as internationally. With MTV
Africa Music and Kora awards under his belt, he’s racked up clothing endorsement deals in Paris as well as high commissions for his shows
across the world, which are almost always sold-out.

7-2face Idibia

Nigerian singer-songwriter 2 Face Idibia began his career as a member of the hip hop group Plantashun Boyz, but went solo in 2004 after the group split. His most popular song, “African Queen,” took off after being featured in the movie “Phat Girlz” in 2006, but all of his five albums have been very well-received around the world. His wealth comes from various real estate investments across Nigeria, as well as the $80,000 he commands per show.

8. Hugh Masekela

Musical sensation Hugh Masekela is a South African artist who plays a variety of instruments, including the trumpet, flugelhorn, and cornet, along with singing and composing his own work. He has been highly
praised for his work, with everything from a Grammy nomination to the Order of the Ikhamanga by President Jacob Zuma (for
achievements in arts, culture, literature, music, journalism, and sports in South Africa). He has graced prestigious festivals across the world.
He is perhaps best known for his acapella-style singing and collaboration with Paul Simon and Ladysmith Black Mambazo on the
Graceland album and 1987 Graceland tour

9-Banky W

Born Olubankole Wellington in the U.S., Banky W moved back to Nigeria and grew up in Lagos, where he began singing at an early age.
Finding success early in singing competitions, most of his wealth has come from endorsement deals with companies such as Estisalat mobile and Samsung in Nigeria. He also started the Mr. Capable Foundation,
an education charity that provides tuition scholarships for disadvantaged children.

10. Jose Chameleone

Jose (or Joe) Chameleone is a Ugandan artist who found his niche blending traditional Ugandan folk music, a bit of rumba and a heavy reggae influence. He sings in English, Swahili, and Luganda. His mansion outside of Kampala and four cars (including a Cadillac
Escalade and a Benz) are evidence of his success, particularly with his hit, “Valu Valu.” He’s been credited with changing the face of music in Uganda, as well as making local music accessible to the rest of the
world.

The victim had left his 67, Ahmadu Ahijo Street, Narayi-Highcost family residence last week Sunday full of life for a party at Barnawa , Kaduna, but could not return home as he was killed by a police constable.
His friend and eyewitness told P.M.NEWS this morning that the police
constable identified as Alex Okpe was beating up his girlfriend outside the venue of the party and when Murtala tried to intervene, he got angry and pulled out his gun from his jeans trousers and fired straight into his heart.

According to an eyewitness who spoke to P.M.NEWS under anonymity, after Murtala was shot dead, the police constable then fired again in the air twice to scare the people around and escaped on his motorcycle.

Moses Andrew, a friend who was with Muri, as he was popularly called, at the Time Out Lounge party venue in Barnawa, narrated that there was pandemonium after Muri was shot and Okpe, the policeman, had escaped .

“We were confused while trying to revive Muri, when a guy informed us that he knows a friend to Okpe’s girlfriend that had left the party for a club called X-One at Barnawa,” Andrew said.
According to him, they quickly moved to X-One and fortunately met her there.
“We picked the lady who identified the policeman who killed Muri as Alex Okpe, and that he serves at Kakuri Police Station but deployed to guard Nigerian Brewries Plc.,”

P.M.NEWS learnt that the killer policeman was later tracked down and arrested by officers from Barnawa Police Division after the case was reported there.

Kaduna State Police Commissioner, Femi Adenaike, who confirmed the incident to P.M.NEWS, said it was true Alex Okpe was arrested and during interrogation confessed to have killed Murtala Aminu at a party venue.
Adenaike said Okpe claimed in his statement that he fired at Muri in “self defence” when he and his friends were trying fight him over his girlfriend.

He said the police didn’t send Okpe to Barnawa at that time and if he is found guilty, he would be dismissed and taken to court for trial.

The blind father of the late Muritala Mohammed Jimoh, told journalists at press conference at their High-Cost residence that as a Muslim he’s taught to accept the death of his son and bread winner as an act of God.

But he said if his son had to die, it should not be in the hands of a policeman who should have been responsible for protecting
him.
“Yes my son , a first class economist for that matter and our hope, is dead, but I want justice done in this case,” Aminu said.

Until Murtala Aminu’s death, he was the youth leader, Catholic Holy Family Church, Barnawa.
He also owned a shawamar and roasted fish outlet at Narayi-Highcost.

I Lied To My Mother That I Was In UNILAG ––King Sunny Ade

King Sunny Ade, his life experiences in this interview with Punch's Adeola Balogun:

A lot of people might find it very difficult to believe that you are 67 with your looks; what is the magic?

There is no magic; I just find myself like this.
It’s true people tell me that I don’t look my
age and whenever they say so, I get back home
and look at myself in the mirror. But within
myself, I know I am old. Truth is, I don’t have any magic than to give God the glory for a good health.

Maybe you do sports to keep you in shape.

Well, I wouldn’t call myself a sports man in
that sense but I love sports. Within my
compound, I have a scotch court, tennis court,
small basketball court and other outdoor
sports but that doesn’t mean I do sports often.
The stage alone is enough sport where I dance
and jump all over the place. I think that I am just lucky because I don’t wake up in the morning and do any exercise like a workout

Before some artistes go on stage, they either drink some stuff or smoke to be able to perform very well. What do you depend on that makes you do what you do on stage?

Let me just put it this way that I am just
lucky. I don’t drink and I don’t smoke. I don’t
do drugs and I don’t like people who do drugs.
Even within my band, ordinary cigarette
smoking irritates me; I don’t like it. I believe
that music on its own is enough to make me
high because I love doing it with passion. I
don’t need any drug to make me high on stage.
I am addicted to music without necessarily taking anything to make me high.

Do you have a particular eating habit or diet to keep you in this athletic shape?

No, I tell people now that I have put on weight but they don’t believe me especially when I watch my past videos. I just don’t know why I have this shape because I don’t have a specific time of eating. As I am talking to you now, I have not eaten anything since yesterday.
Occasionally, I eat late and anytime I wake up is when I have my breakfast no matter the time of the day. I don’t have any eating pattern and whenever I want to eat, I don’t eat much because I would be thinking that I would not be able to sleep.

What was your dream as a young boy?

When I was young, I wanted to be an engineer
and at the same time, I wanted to be a lawyer.
At another time, I wanted to be a doctor. In fact, there was no time I wanted to be a
musician because being born into royalty, it was unthinkable to think that way. But I loved
music; I loved dancing and people who danced.
I loved to dance to any kind of music. Then as a young boy of seven or eight, I used to pray
for branded vans promoting new products like Michelin, to come to my community where I could listen to music and watch people dance.

At times, I would just join to dance and people
would be clapping for me. I would forget
myself so much until one relative came along
to pull my ears or beat me for dancing around.
So, when I realised that nobody in the family
wanted me to dance or watch those who
danced or played music, it did not occur to
me to wish to become a musician. I thought I
would be a good lawyer because nobody won
me over in any argument. At the same time
too, I thought I would be an engineer because
then, you would find me at any refuse dump
where I would be looking for used wire and
batteries which I coupled together to produce
light. Then I would like to know what was
doing the talking in the radio and people thought I would end up as an engineer. I learnt carpentry and painting.

How? What of school?

I was going to school but anytime I closed, I
went to the carpentry workshop to learn.
During holidays too, I was always at the
workshop working. Again, I had a brother who
repaired motorcycles and his shop was beside
where I was learning carpentry. I more or less
was learning so many things at the same time.

But why did your parents take you to the carpentry workshop to learn even when you were schooling?

No, it was on my own. I was very bright at
school because the little I could read was
enough for me to pass. Once I did my
homework, I would dash across to the
workshop and learn. Despite this, I never failed
in school except once when my teacher
intentionally failed me. I reported him to the
headmaster and the teacher was sacked. We
were 39 in class and the teacher said I came
14th instead of being in the first three. Even at
that, how could I be said to have failed in the
14th position out of 39? It looked very strange
to me and I walked into the headmaster’s
office and reported the teacher. After
reporting the man, the headmaster told me
not to tell anybody and that he knew what to
do. I just discovered that I didn’t see the
teacher again; it was later that I learnt that the
teacher had been sacked.

But as a bright boy, why didn’t you proceed to the university?

That was my dream and intention. You know, I
lost my father when I was young and I loved
my mum so much that I thought it would be a
burden for her to continue to fund my
education alone with that of my siblings. So,
out of pity for her, I decided to be doing
something to help rather than depending on
her to cater for me. When I was still very
young in school, my mother who used to
weave aso oke always gave me new cloth for
my school uniform every term with different
designs. I joined the Boys Brigade and during
the holidays, we used to go to the white
people’s home like the DO (District Officer) for
any job and sometimes, they would dash us
some money. I used to go to the farm to look
for bamboo to make cages for the birds that I
caught. I would then give out the birds
together with the cage and asked to be given
anything in exchange. I wanted to go to the
university; in fact when I ran to Lagos from
Abeokuta, my people back home thought I was
in the University of Lagos.

When I was leaving Abeokuta for Lagos, I
actually told some colleagues that I was going
to Lagos to try my luck but that if my family
asked of me, they should tell them that I
gained admission to University of Lagos. For
almost three years, my family thought I was in
the university in Lagos. It was not until I
formed my own group that an uncle came and
asked me whether I was actually Sunny Ade. I
said yes and he said how come; what happened
to your university education? I said well, I had
to take to music when I could no longer pay
myself through school. He almost slapped me,
accusing me of lying to the family that I was in
school. Then I now made him to sit down and
explained to him and he understood and
promised to tell the family what I was actually
doing. My family didn’t approve of what I was
doing for almost 15 years until I really made
the name. They found it difficult to know that I
was actually Sunny Ade instead of Sunday
Adeniyi. Again in those days, they could only
hear you on the radio; the television then,
WNTV was very competitive for everyone to be
featured. My mother insisted that I must go to
school instead of playing music. She asked me
how I wanted my father to feel in the grave
that his son was only good enough to sing
instead of being a lawyer or an engineer as the
case may be.

I have sex with my daughters to protect them – 53yr-old-father

Residents of Lokoja, Kogi State could not but stare with mouths ajar as they listened to a 53-year-old man, Yusuff Alabi, as he regaled them with tales of how and why he had been sleeping with his two grown-up daughters in the last
10 years.

Yusuff Alabi is 53 years old; a father of four and a civil servant. He is neither a rogue nor robber. He has not perpetrated fraud either. Yet, he is cooling his heels in police custody. His crime: he has allegedly been having carnal knowledge of his two biological daughters.

Alabi according to neighbours had engaged in this act for a long time to the consternation of his wife and family. Continuous appeal and entreaties to him, they said, had also fallen on deaf ears as he reportedly continued unabashed. Nemesis, however, caught up with
Alabi recently when his first son caught him on top of his second daughter (the boy’s younger sister) humping away.

The boy, Abdul Malik, raised the alarm. But instead of feeling contrite, what Alabi did was to pounce on the boy threatening to kill him.

While parading the 53 year old civil servant at the Police Command head quarters in Lokoja, Kogi State the Acting Police Commissioner, Mr. Augustine Evhakaivbokun, stated that the command received information that one he, Alabi, was having sexual intercourse with his biological daughters.

He explained that one Abdul Malik living behind Muslim Community Secondary School Lokoja came to the SIB office and reported that his father, Yusuf Alabi had sexual intercourse with his younger sister and
he was caught in the act. “The complainant added that when he challenged his father, he was said to have threatened to kill him,” the
top cop added. The Acting Commissioner of Police pointed out that it was this that prompted the boy to report the incident to the police, adding that detectives immediately rushed to the scene and arrested the suspect.

Evhakaivbokun stated that upon interrogation, the father admitted to the crime and saying that he was committing the act in order to
protect the lives of his children. He added that his act was in compliance with the directive of his native doctor that in order to
prevent his children dying prematurely he should be having sexual intercourse with them. This, he disclosed, had been going on for the past 10 years. He hinted that the suspect would be charged to court for incest after the through investigations.

While speaking in an interview with journalists at the Police Command Headquarters in Lokoja, the randy father, Yusuf Alabi, confessed that he actually committed the said offence to cure the ailment affecting his two biological daughters. Alabi explained that he contacted an
herbalist around Omupo in Kwara State to seek protection for the daughters whom he claimed were growing lean by the day. He
disclosed that he had been sleeping with his first daughter for about 10 years now but never impregnated her nor her sister. However, sources close to the family at their Lokogoma residence disclosed that the suspect had been engaged in the abomination act for a very long time.

They added that when the wife got wind of this, she packed out of the family house but when the family members intervened she returned home. It was also learnt that the randy father was said to have cultivated the habit of watching pornographic films and have over 200 CDs which he used to entice his daughters The source noted that the
53 years old civil servant was becoming recalcitrant despite the outcry by the mother of the girls. The son of the suspect who pleaded anonymity confirmed that he caught his father sleeping with his sister; he stated he raised the alarm and confronted him telling him that what did was an abomination.

The father’s reaction was, however, to threaten to kill him and “that is why I rushed to police station to report the incident,” the boy said.
